Doug Boles and IMS gearing up for the Indy 500. Indianapolis Motor Speedway President joins Tony Katz to talk about the MONSTER events this month at the Speedway.
Doug Boles joins us right now, President of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and President of IndyCar as well. We could focus on the series as a whole, but of course everything is focused on where you are at right now in Speedway. Talk to me about the kind of crowd we’re expecting for the Grand Prix and what has been different this year than maybe years past.
Yeah, I think the good news about the Grand Prix. Just talk about it doesn’t really matter about whether the car was right on the roadblocks in the rain with the fact that there’s going to be, I think we’ll see maybe the largest crowd we’ve ever had for that race, which we’re excited about. So we’ll we’ll see how the weather continues to hold. But our ticket sales for that event are really strong and it’s going to be a great weekend to to kick things off on the on the road course. And then Sunday we all celebrate Mother’s Day and then we roll right around and get ready to go racing for the Indy 500, which is just 17 days away, which is hard to believe.
